Can weakness of optic nerve be cured?
Q: Can weakness of optical nerve ever improve ? I have low vision after the laser operation of eyes due to glaucoma and the doctor says my optic nerve has become weak. Please advise.
A:The weakness of optic nerve due to glaucoma generally does not reverse. Associated problems like refractive errors and cataract also cause vision loss which can be treated. Keep your eye pressure low to prevent progression of the problem.
