Can tubectomy be performed during a c-section?
Q: This is my second pregnancy and I am 32 years old. I had my first child when I was 29 years old. The first baby was through a c-section. This time due to a low lying placenta, a c-section has been prescribed. I would like to know if tubectomy can be performed during the c-section so that I don't have to undergo another surgery?
A:You can certainly have tubal ligation done during your second C-section - it is a wise decision. However, you must be sure you do want it, as it is a permanent method of contraception.
