Can the H1N1 virus relapse?

Q: My 7 years old son suffered with H1N1 virus one and a half month back. He was admitted in the hospital for 8 days and was given Tamiflu syrup. He has been cured completely. Now my concern is that since my child is an asthmatic, is there any chance of the virus being transmitted back to him if he comes in contact with the H1N1 infected place or person, etc? Can the virus relapse?

A:Generally when you get an infection with a virus, you develop immunity against that virus. If you were to get to repeat infection, it tends to be mild. However, if the virus develops mutation i.e. it changes its character, he may get full blown infection. However, don't worry as most cases get controlled spontaneously or with some medications.
