Can one conceive with ovarian failure?

Q: I am a 26 years old woman. I am not having periods from the last 4-5 years. If I take medicine for periods then it comes, else not. The doctors say that my ovaries are not producing eggs. If I want to conceive, then do I have to go for IVF? I have tried this once, but failed. ?

A:In cases of ovarian failure (anovulatory infertility), several treatments are available such as HCG (sold as Corion), clomiphene (sold as Ovipreg), FSH (sold as Gonotrop-F), FSH/LH (sold as Pregnorm) etc. You should consult a good gynaecologist. Only if these treatments fail, should one go for assisted reproductive technique (ART) such as IVF.
