Can meibomitis lead of loss of eyesight?
Q: My 39 years old fiance has recently been diagnosed with meibomitis. The problem started in one eye and has infected both his eyes now. What causes this and how can this be treated? Can he lose his eyesight because of meibomitis?
A:This does not affect the eye or vision as such and is caused by rubbing the eyes when tired or strain due to over work and/or not wearing proper glasses if required. He should clean the eye lid margins and use some antibiotic ointment for 1-2 weeks.
