Can laser surgery improve vision in the lazy eye?

Q: I am a 20 years old student, having a squint in my left eye but don’t have any vision problem. Will laser surgery improve vision in the lazy eye?

A:Nothing will improve your vision now in the lazy eye, not even laser surgery. So it is not recommended for you, but I want you to remember that this can be a hereditary problem and any child, blood related to you, including your future children up to 3-6 years, should be examined by an eye specialist to detect and treat it because if not treated before 6 years of age, the vision can never be improved. Treatment is very simple & effective up to then, not after wards.
