Can I undergo LASIK surgery?
Q: I am a 23 years old boy using glasses spectacles for the last 10 years. The power of my glasses is –11 in both the eyes. I am a computer professional and have to sit in front of the computer for long hours. Can I undergo LASIK surgery? Please advise.
A:There are various options to treat refractive errors. A detailed eye examination by a refractive specialist will help you to decide which technique for correcting your eye number is most suitable. LASIK with femto-second laser is one of the options provided your corneal thickness is adequate. ICL or implantable contact lenses are another option that maybe considered for you. Depending on your eye test results, the best technique can be recommended for you.
