Can I regain normal vision with an eye surgery?
Q: I am a 23 years old computer professional with a power of -.75 spherical and -.75 cylindrical with an axis of 80 degree in left eye and a -1 cylindrical and -.5 cylindrical with an axis of 178 degree in right eye. My work requires me to sit long hours in front of the computer and my eyes always pain and are tired. Can my eye power increase even after the age of 22? Can my eyes regain normal vision without surgery and spectacles? If not, when should I go for surgery?
A:This much power is not enough to consider refractive surgery or LASIK. As the computer generates heat, it causes dry eyes and tiredness. You should wear glasses with photochromic or reactolite or changer and also keep the monitor at a distance from your eyes. You should also put some artificial tear drops to lubricate the eyes from time to time.
