Can I have a normal second delivery?
Q: I am a 31 years old married woman having a 5 years old child. My baby was delivered through vacuum extraction due to improper functioning of the cervix. Will the cervix problem persist in my second delivery too? I have used MT pills six times after conceiving. Can I have a normal delivery?
A:If you conceive after stopping the pills for at least two months the baby should be normal. As for the cervix- the condition is called cervical dystocia, when it fails to dilate. There is a chance of the problem recurring, but can be determined only after labour starts. Also, in some cases, may respond to oxytocic drugs in labour, with proper hydration.
