Can I do back exercises during pregnancy?

Q: I am 26 year old woman who had a disc problem and had been operated for the same 4 years back. But sometimes I feel pain in my leg because of the spine. The doctor told me to do back exercises. But now I am planning to have a baby. Can I conceive? If the pain arises during pregnancy then what should I do? Can I do back exercises during pregnancy?

A:Once operated, you need to continue exercises to strengthen your spinal muscles. And you have to maintain spinal mobility. During pregnancy, special exercises are given for pelvic floor muscles. So continue exercises to prevent any pain etc., learn proper exercises from a physiotherapist. There wont be any harm during pregnancy.
