Can dental treatment be done during pregnancy?

Q: My wife is 7months pregnant. She has dental problem and needs teeth realignments, extraction for 2/3 and root canal also. We visited an orthodontist for the same. He says treatment will not have any impact on the pregnancy. Currently he will extract a few teeth and fix the clip for 6 months or 1 year. But our Gynaecologist recommends no local anaesthesia and antibiotics at this stage. What is suggested in this situation?

A:I think you can wait for 4 more months and then go ahead for all treatment. Though it is not contraindicated to do dental treatment during pregnancy but better not create situations of pain or stress during this time.
