Are multiple bridges safe for teeth?
Q: I have a bridge construction done for my one upper teeth extracted a month back. My lower tooth was also extracted as it was a milk tooth and was giving pain. Now my Doctor says that in this tooth too only a bridge can be used for fixed tooth. I want to ask if 2-3 bridges are used, then will it weaken the teeth or not?
A:Multiple bridges can be done and if executed properly do not disturb natural teeth or weaken them. If you do not wish to get the neighbouring teeth prepared for bridge requirement you can either go in for removable denture or explore the possibility of an Implant to hold the missing tooth. This is the most contemporary treatment and is quite popular worldwide.
