Dr Srinivas Reddy Mummadi is a pulmonary/critical care physician (final year fellow physician at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, USA). Cleveland Clinic's pulmonary / critical care medicine program is ranked 3 by the US News and World Report. He completed his Internal medicine training from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), Galveston, Texas, USA.
Dr Mummadi graduated from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC, Pune, India) with honours in the year 2001. He was awarded the Late Jonathan De Gold Medal for excellence in medical education during his medical school training. He was born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
Pulmonary/Critical care medicine is a subspecialty branch of Internal medicine. The pulmonary component deals with the diseases of lungs (asthma, COPD, Interstitial Lung disease, Sarcoidosis) and it's blood supply (Pulmonary hypertension). His other clinical interests include COPD (Chronic obstructive lung disease, also known as "emphsyema"), Interstitial lung disease. Care of the critically ill in medical ICU'S (Severe sepsis, management of the ventilators) is another area of his expertise. He is adept at performing bronchoscopic procedures.
Dr Mummadi is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.
