Dr Rishi Mohan is a Gold Medallist in Ophthalmology, MD (AIIMS) 1985 Diplomate of the National Board, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. Received his training in prestigious institutes of India, (the Dr RP Centre, AIIMS) and abroad (Prince Charles Hospital, Windsor, UK, and at Orbis International USA (The Flying Eye Hospital) and Prince Charles Eye Unit at King Edward VII Hospital Windsor, UK.
Dr Rishi is a renowned eye surgeon specialising in cataract surgery, phacoemulisification (stitch-less cataract surgery with IOL implantation), corneal grafting and myopia treatment by Lasers (PRK-LASIK). His deft handling of Lasers for the treatment of retinal disorders, glaucoma, cataract & corneal refractive surgery (Lasik & PRK) have given him long recognition in the Scientific field.
He perfected his surgical techniques by working with internationally reputed surgeons like Dr William Simcoe, Dr Richard Abbot (SanFr.), Dr Stanley Chang (NY), Dr Garth Taylor (Canada), Dr Richard Packard (Windsor), and Prof Dr Madan Mohan & Dr VK Dada (India). He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 1996.
He is the Director of the Lasertech Eye Microsurgery Center and Senior Consultant at the MM Eyetech Institute, and visiting senior consultant to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. He has published/presented many original scientific papers in National and International Conferences. He has organised many instructional courses for ophthalmologists at the state and national level. He was awarded the visiting fellowship by the Japanese Ophthalmological Association (1991) and delivered a guest Lecture at the MIE University, Japan. He also delivered a key note address at Chester, UK on the invitation of the U.K. Ophthalmological Society. In September 2001, he was invited to be the demonstrator for the Instruction course at Amsterdam at the ESCRS Conference.
