Women - breast discharge
Q: I am 36 years old and my wife is 31 years old. The problem is pertaining to her left breast discharge; while sucking at her breast I am getting blood in my mouth. Kindly let me know what the problem is and the treatment for it.
A:Has your wife noticed blood from her nipple on compression herself? However if you are certain that there was blood in your mouth you should see a breast specialist. This condition may arise due to a wart in one of the milk ducts which is usually benign. If blood is confirmed by the doctor, that specific milk duct may have to be excised. However, if your wife is pregnant or is lactating then this condition may occur naturally and will settle down in due course.
