Will spinal anaesthesia affect my pregnancy?
Q: I took more than one pregnancy test and they are all positive. Four days ago, I underwent a surgery to repair my sphincter muscle under spinal anaesthesia. Can this affect my pregnancy?
A:You had surgery under spinal anaesthesia. This per se will not have any effect on the early pregnancy. If you have taken antibiotics, pain killers, etc. they will certainly have some side effect. You should consult your gynaecologist with the list of drugs taken for a decision.
