Will my child be affected by thalassaemia?
Q: I am a 23 years old male. My mother was patient of minor thalassaemia and passed away nine years back. I underwent related test which showed that I am not a patient of thalassaemia and not even a carrier. My blood group is B+. Can my child be affected by thalassaemia? What are the possibilities if I marry a girl with same blood group?
A:If you are not a thalassaemia minor, then chances of having baby with thalassaemia is nil.
