Will I go blind after eye surgery?

Q: I am a 13 years old girl and I have been wearing glasses. My vision is 20/20. I have a lazy eye and trying to get it fixed. I underwent surgery twice so my question is if I take the surgery again will I go blind?

A:You will not go blind if you have surgery again but if your vision is 20/20 with and without glasses there is no need to wear glasses at all in the first place specially if you are wearing hypermetropic (long sighted) glasses and you have divergent squint. More over if your vision is 20/20 in each eye you do not have lazy eye. You will see that divergent squint will get better simply by taking glasses off.
