Q: I am mother of one and half month old baby. I am breastfeeding him. I having pain in the anal region and the doctor advised Nurokind and Emanzen. Will this affect my baby in any way, as I breastfeed him and he also has a gas problem. I am not interested in bottle-feeding. Please advise.

It is not approved for use in advanced countries like US, Canada, Britain, Australia etc. Hence not much is known about its effects and side effects, particularly during lactation. Nurokind is the brand name of a multi-ingredient product that contains vitamin B-12 substances. It has no role in the treatment of undiagnosed pain in the anal region. Unless a firm diagnosis is made, there is no use in consuming medicines.
