Why is my lower belly so tight and inflammed?
Q: I am 32 years old and was suffering from intestine ulcer 6 months back. After discharge from the hospital, I developed constipation followed by blood in the stools. Later, I went to the doctor for a recheck. The doctor did an endoscopy and proctoscopy. After examination he found piles in the anus. But the main problem is that my lower belly is tight and inflammed. Also, I have been passing a lot of gas. What may be the possible reason? What tests should I undergo to determine the causes?
A:Intestinal ulcers are commonly due to infection or inflammation. Infective once can be bacterial or parasites induced and appropriate diagnosis is essential. Likewise inflammatory ulcers can be chronic recurring conditions and it is important to get a correct diagnosis in order offer appropriate treatment. I advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for tests and proper diagnosis. Your constipation and haemorrhoids are unlikely to be connected to the intestinal ulcer.
