Why is my left testis bigger than the right one?

Q: I am a 24 years old male and have never indulged in physical relationship with any one till date. My problem is that my testis have become extremely big and loose due to which I face difficulty in running and exercising. Also the left testis is bigger than the right one. How can this be corrected?

A:Abnormal enlargement of the testis has nothing to do with your not having had an opportunity to have physical relationship with someone. The most common cause of such enlargement is hydrocele, or collection of water around the testis. You need to see a Urologist for proper examination and appropriate investigations. If it indeed is hydrocele, the treatment is surgical.
