Why is my father having trouble in breathing?

Q: My father suffered a major heart attack last year in the month of October. After angiography the doctors said that his 2 arteries were totally blocked and a heart attack affects the heart majorly. Also that surgery could not be done. Since the past few days a new problem has started, whenever my father sleeps he has problem breathing. What is the reason behind this? At present he is taking - Atorlip 20, Amlodac l, Monosprin 30 and Winofit.

A:This symptom needs more elaborate description to evaluate whether breathlessness is due to mild heart failure which occurs mainly during flat lying position for prolonged period while sleeping or a condition called Obstructive Sleep Apnoea which is usually associated with snoring. Sometimes even night time (Nocturnal Asthma). These possibilities should be considered.
