Q: My 20 months old daughter cannot walk without support. She is scared of walking on her own due to the fear of falling and lack of confidence. Please suggest how can I build up her confidence. I have tried many ways of leaving her alone at some distance to walk but she gets scared and starts crying. Please help me on this; I am really worried about her.

A:You could get her a walker (a wheeled cart which is stable and can be pushed). When she develops confidence, she will walk on her own. If you worry so much for every little thing, your child will pick up your vibrations and become all the more frightened.
