Why doesn't my son mix with children of his age?
Q: I have a boy who is 5 years old. The problem is that he always goes after his younger siblings and does not mix with kids of his age. Moreover he always wants to play and has less concentration while studying. Please tell me what should I do?
A:Most children of age 5 like to play. That is quite normal. If his formal learning is taught in the play-way method (through interesting materials, at the child's own pace and without expectation of immediate specific outcomes) his attention to what is taught will improve. It is also natural for him to play with his siblings.
