Why does my daughter have three nipples?
Q: My one-month old baby girl has three nipples. The third one is exactly below her left nipple but visible as a minor scar. I got to know about this only a few days back when I saw milk oozing out of that tiny nipple while massaging her. Is this normal? Does she need surgery to remove this extra nipple? Please advise.
A:Some infants have accessory nipples, which usually are of no significance. Avoid massaging at the local site. Most of these are redundant and don't trouble.
