Why do my eyes burn when I cry?
Q: Why do my eyes burn whenever I cry? It almost as if my tears burn them. Please help.
A:This may be because you rub your eyes. The tears themselves do not burn the eye. They are produced by lacrimal glands, and are very much compatible with your eyes. Next time when you have to cry, try not to rub your eyes and may be you can apply a cold wet cloth on the closed eyes.
