Why are most pregnancies delivered through caesarean?
Q: These days, most of the pregnancy cases end up with caesarean (C-section). I understand that most of the hospitals and even doctors do it for the sake of money. Is there any way we can ensure a normal delivery? Maybe this is a myth, but I am scared of C-section. Please suggest some exercises or a solution to have a normal delivery.
A:This is definitely a wrong impression of the lay public that doctors are doing C-section for extra money. Remember, every one wants to have a healthy baby and mother, at the end of pregnancy and labour. Nobody will do C-section for extra money. That is why, in some hospitals/ some senior gynaecologists keep the professional charges for normal delivery and C-section almost the same. Regarding exercises or yoga, it is better you see an experienced physiotherapist / yoga expert. One cannot blindly advise exercises without knowing your case in detail, as it may do more harm than good.
