Why am I bleeding so irregularly?

Q: I am a 25 years old female. I have been suffering from irregular periods for the past two years. I got married 5 months back. I consulted a gynaecologist who asked me to test for prolactin, haemoglobin, T3, T4 and TSH. Everything came out normal except the prolactin levels which were 24.38. The doctor prescribed cabgolin 0.5 mg weekly for one month. I took this tablet two days back and i started bleeding when it is not my regular period time. Is this a serious problem?

A:Please get the endometrial thickness measured on ultrasound and also ask your ultrasonologist to see if you have polycystic ovaries. If the endometrial thickness is more than 4 mm, take primolut-n 2 tabs 3 times a day for 24 days non stop and your bleeding will be alright. You may need to repeat this course few times till you start remaining okay.
