Which labels on food items indicate suitability for diabetics?
Q: In reading labels for a diabetic patient, what numbers are too high in sugar and carbohydrates?
A:Unfortunately most food items in India don't have such labels. In general, it better to avoid foods with added simple carbohydrates (since carbohydrates are what increase blood glucose). However, also look out for fats, since some low sugar containing foods have high fat content, which may increase obesity.
