Which is a better technique of breathing?
Q: Please tell me which breathing technique is more beneficial: inhaling and exhaling through the nostrils or inhaling through the nostrils and exhaling through the mouth? Which method should I follow during aerobics and strength training exercises?
A:There are many ways of breathing and it actually depends on what you are doing and what you have been used to. During aerobic strength training exercises, you can use whatever is comfortable, but it is advisable to breath in through the nose and out through the mouth. However, when you are practicing deep breathing techniques, it is advisable to breath in and out through the nose, although,if you have a blocked nose, that does not mean you are not benefiting if you use more of your mouth! Just do what comes naturally!
