When can we get to know if out child is thalassaemic?
Q: I would like to know that if both parents have thalassaemia minor, then when could it be detected if the child too is carrying the trait or is thalassaemic major?
A:This can be known by 12-14 weeks of pregnancy by doing genetic tests on the developing baby.
