What should I do to stop hair loss?

Q: I am a 30 years old female suffering from severe hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). It is in the advanced stage. I have delivered a baby seven months back, which aggravated the problem. I have consulted many dermatologists and underwent multiple hormonal tests, which showed normal values. I have also used Minoxidil, Folitene, but no significant result. What should I do to stop hair loss?

A:There is a female counterpart of androgenetic alopecia seen in the males. Fortunately, it is not severe. Females never develop complete baldness. Diffuse hair loss soon after childbirth, is encountered in many females. However, recovery from this additional loss normally begins after 3-4 months. A good healthy life style will help.
