What is the solution for ankle pain due to walks?

Q: I am 67 years of age. For the last six months or so, I get right ankle pain after I do my daily morning walk for about three days. I have to skip my morning walk for another three days to again start my walk. Please help me to overcome this.

A:I suggest you decrease the distance you walk initially, and increase it gradually. Secondly, try putting your ankle in alternate hot and cold water twice a day for about 10 minutes. Thirdly you should try wearing closed shoes with an internal wedge and that should help you with your walking. Internal wedges are available to fit in your shoe.
