What is the cause and treatment of a white spot at the tonsil area?

Q: A fortnight ago I had a small pimple sized white spot on the left side of the tonsil area. I visited an ENT surgeon who examined and removed that white skin with a surgical tool. After that the area looked normal. Doctor advised me not to worry. But 10 days later the same thing appeared again on that area. What could this be and what should I do? There is no pain, discomfort or bleeding at the time of removal. Please help.

A:You may just have a tonsillolith dried secretion in a small pit in the tonsil. It is totally harmless. Unless causing problems, ignore it. Just gargle with hydrogen peroxide mouthwashes available commercially.
