What is RBBB (Right Bundle Branch Block)?

Q: I am 62 years and hypertensive, taking amlodepine 5 mg once and listril plus 1/2 daily. No DM in the family history; positive for HBP and negative for IHD. I have no other complications but my ECG showed RBBB with normal sinus rhythm. My weight is 90 kg. Kindly advise whether I have to go for some coronary work up? What is RBBB? What are likely complications in future?

A:Right Bundle Branch Block refers to block in conduction in one half of the fibres that conduct electrical impulses within the heart. In isolation, this is not a cause for concern and does not call for further coronary work-up.
