What is arrhythmia?
Q: What is the cure for arrhythmia? My BP is 122/80 but my pulse rate varies from 72 to 110 per minute. My echo and TMT this year were absolutely normal though my pulse rate was around 80 per minutes that time also. Please advise me on my present condition.
A:Arrhythmia means an abnormal rhythm of the heart. It can be of several types. Many arrhythmia are harmless and very common. I gather from the information provided by you that you have no underlying heart problem. Your BP and the results of investigations are very reassuring. The variation in heart beat which you have mentioned (pulse varying between 72 to 110 /minute) seems to me a normal variation.
