A:If the fluid is more, as is evident from the report, you need to get tested to rule out diabetes, any abnormalities in the baby of the renal, or bowel or brain and limbs. In as many as 30% cases, no cause may be found, and symptomatic treatment for the fluid itself maybe needed, like rest and medications like indomethacin to reduce the fluid volume. All these should be done under supervision of an expert obstetrician, with a good ultrasound facility and nursery facility. If the cause is diabetes, the sugars need to be controlled, or premature pains can start because of increased fluid. If the baby is abnormal, need careful evaluation of the condition, and follow up depending on the condition.
