What diet supplements should I take?

Q: I wish to supplement my diet with GLA and Omega 3, but my problem is that I don't understand which is the best brand supplement I should take (there are so many - Ranbaxy, Glaxo, etc). Also the same problem occurs when my daughter went out to take a multivitamin supplement. Currently I am taking Primosa 1000 & Dr. Reddys Mega-3 for my GLA requirement & Omega 3 requirements respectively and my daughter is taking Glaxo Smithklines Multivitamin mineral capsules. Please tell me if they are fine or should I switch to some other brands. Also tell me how to decide which is the best supplement amongst all for any further need.

A:For Omega-3, you can take Maxepa of E. Merck. For multivitamin, you can take Vitexid which contains B-complex + Vit E and other anti-oxidants. Primosa-100 contains Evening Primrose oil + calcium + vitamin D. This is an irrational combination not available in any advanced country. If you wish to take Evening Primrose oil, you can take Simrose brand. You can however take a good combination of Calcium + vitamin D such as Trical-D.
