Q: Dear Sir/Madam, My wife is pregnant and she is due on 30/12/02. She had vaginal discharge on 10/12/02 which lasted for three days and then stopped. She is also unable to sleep at night and has severe back pain. Kindly advise if there is any serious problem with vaginal discharge. Regards

A:The vaginal discharge during pregnancy, specially full term pregnancy, should be immediately investigated because it could be a leakage of fluid around the baby, and, if left untreated, could cause infection to the baby.
