Q: We are married for two and half years and yet to have an issue. I underwent a diagnostic laparoscopy last week. The diagnosis was that the right tube is blocked and there was PCOS, which was punctured during the laparascopy and dilatation was also done for cervical stenosis. Doctors have prescribed Placentrex injection for 10 days. What is the effect of Placentrex and for what purpose it is given?

A:Placentrex is the brand name of extract of human placenta. Use of material extracted from human organs has serious safety issues. It is being promoted for all sorts of diverse diseases including vitiligo (white skin patches). Such a product is not allowed to be used in any advanced, western country since its efficacy, and even more important, safety has not been tested.
