Q: What are the symptoms of swine flu in adults, children and infants?

A:Symptoms of Swine Flu are usually produced after a period of 24-72 hours after the virus enters some one's body. (This period can go up to 5-7 days also).

In Adults: Fever (usually more than 38 degree Celcius), cough, sneezing, running nose headache, body aches, feeling of weakness, loss of appetite and tiredness. Occasionally some patients can also have vomiting and diarrhea.

In Children: All the above symptoms.

In Babies: Fever, cough, sneezing nose, irritability and refusal to feed. Please note that symptoms may not appear in all persons who are exposed to the virus.
