What are the side effects of the drug Fragmin?

Q: My wife has had three abortions within three months of her pregnancies but last year she gave birth to a girl baby who is now 10 months old and a healthy normal one. The cause for my wife's abortion was detected to be high anti-cardiolipin antibodies (IgM & IgG). During her successful pregnancy, she was under cover of low molecular weight heparin (Fragmin) 5000u/day for almost six months. My question is can any side effects occur in our baby or my wife in future due to the continuous use of this drug?

A:Fragmin is the brand name of a low-molecular weight heparin. It is meant to be used as an anticoagulant, anti-clotting agent. Once the use is stopped, its side effects disappear and hence it will have no adverse effect either on the health of baby or mother.
