What are the causes and treatment for eye irritation?
Q: I am a 26 years old girl suffering from eye irritation since long. I experience burning sensation in my eyes when I go out in sun. The doctor whom I consulted told me that I am allergic and he also detected infection in my eyes. He prescribed two eye drops namely; olapate (twice a day) and add tears (3 times a day) along with Fit Eye tablet (once in a week after meal). Are these drugs safe? I still find it difficult to wear contact lenses, which causes more irritation in my left eye than right eye. My lenses number is -1.25 for the left eye and -4.25 for the right eye. Kindly suggest something to treat my eye irritation.
A:Eye irritation is due to a million causes like allergies, your kind of job, the medicines that you are consuming and the kind of contact glasses your wear. Fit Eye tablet looks like a multivitamin. If it does not contain vitamin A or E, it should be safe to use. Better would be natural food. Try going back to your glasses for some time. If you are fit, you can consider a good & modern Lasik procedure. For dry eye, it is better to use Siliconepolymer monthly disposable.
