Q: I have a skin rash very much like prickly heat that appears with exposure to sun. I have tried all kind of oinments and powder but they don't go away completely and always come back after prolonged exposure to sun. Can you suggest a permanent solution since my work requires me to work outdoors most of the time?
A:I think that you may be suffering from solar urticaria when you develop pricking and red patches on the exposed parts of your body on going out in the sun. I think you should consult a dermatologist to look for the cause of this condition. You could try applying a steroid cream such as Elocon. However, it may not be enough and you may have to consult a dermatologist anyways.
