Please suggest a diet plan consist of 1600 calories.

Q: I am a 38 years old man weighs 90 kg and my height is 5.10 feet. Kindly suggest a diet plan consisted of 1600 calories/day.

A:Breakfast

  • Low calorie omelette – eggs (2), low fat cheese, vegetables (mushrooms, onion), oil (half-teaspoon)
  • Fresh fruit - 1/2 cup of melon
  • Milk - 1 cup of skim milk


Morning snackFresh fruit -1 small apple

Lunch
  • Roasted chicken breast - 1pc
  • Green beans - 1 cup
  • Breads/rice/chapati
  • Yoghurt
Evening-Tea with crackers

Dinner
  • Spaghetti & Sauce, salad, dinner roll or bread stick
  • 1 cup of any variety of pasta
  • Spaghetti Sauce, with low fat cheese
  • 1 side salad consisting of the following: 1 chopped plum tomato, 2 cups of shredded lettuce or any greens of your choice, 1 small sliced cucumber
  • Whole grain bread or dinner roll or garlic bread: 1-2


Bedtime snack- Fruit with 1 cup low fat milk
