Q: I keep making this odd sound in my throat in order to sort of scratch my inner ear.I am unsure whether it is a throat problem or an ear problem.. but this sound sure disturbs my husband as it is made subconsciously during the nights as well.What could be a cure for this problem??

A:Dont worry, it is probably an irritation in the throat, caused due to sinusitis and post nasal drip, or just plane allergy. Since the same nerve supplies the ear canal, it releives the irritation. Try an anti allergic medication like LORATIDINE, DES LORATIDINE OR FEXOFENEDINE, (only generic names) plus betadine gargles, and see if it helps.
