A:The surgery of tubal ligation is certainly done in India, the surgery should be ideally performed with microsurgical technique for good results, I must warn you that the results are not always assured, though in good centres now, it should be about 50-60 percent. Also after reversal the risk of an ectopic pregnancy increases, which coincidentally also increases after IVF, the other alternative offered when tubes have been ligated. The surgery cost will vary according to the place (town/city) surgeon and type of hospital /rooms you opt for. In south India, it should be about 20 to 50 thousand rupees.
