Is my husband prone to getting cancer?

Q: My husband is 35 years old and healthy. But I am living with an insecure feeling that he will get cancer. He too thinks the same. His father was diagnosed with throat cancer first, which spread to lung and ultimately lead to his death. His grand mother, 2 aunts and one cousin also died with different types of cancers. Is there any chance that he will get it too? How can it be avoided? I have heard that the elder one gets the disease from father's family and the youngest one from mother's family. Is that true? My husband is the youngest. Please advise.

A:The person in question has cancerophobia and that has to be dealt with by counselling and routine physical examination. There is no definite test to identify whether he will get any malignancy presently, though he has strong family history.
