Is my breastfeeding frequency fine?

Q: My baby is 13 months old. He weighs around 10 kg and his feeding pattern is that morning he wakes up around 7:30 am, and I breast feed him. He then has about 1/4 dosa and takes my feed and goes to sleep around 9 am. He wakes up around 10.30 am, has my feed and then at around 11 am he'll have 1/2 cup of ragi kanji or 3/4th dosa. This feeding takes me 45 minutes. Then he takes my feed again, takes a bath and goes to sleep around 1 pm to wake up around 2.30 pm and then takes my feed. He then has 1 -2 tablespoon of curd rice or dal rice. Around 5 pm he has 1/2 egg or 2 slices of bread soaked in milk. Around 7 pm he has boiled and smashed apple and around 9 pm has 1 idly or 3/4 dosa. In between he demands for breast feeding and I feed him. Am I giving my baby nutritious food? He demands for breastfeeding a lot. Is my breastfeeding frequency fine?

A:Breastfeeding your baby is fine but if feeding is difficult, feed him on demand. He will feel hungry and then will demand food. Feed him then. Overall his weight is fine for his age. Try and wean him more on home food that is made at home for the rest of the family. He will persist for a few days initially, but be firm.
