Is laser surgery effective for vision correction?
Q: I am 22-year-old male suffering from irritation in eyes. My right eye power is -0.75D and left is -1.00D. I use contact lenses. The ophthalmologist told me that it might had happened due to the allergy of contact lens material. Can you please suggest whether LASER surgery would be helpful for me or not?
A:Regarding your query about effectiveness of Laser vision correction with the eye power you have mentioned, you can definitely go for the Laser vision correction surgery, but before that you would require to undergo certain pre-evaluation test so as to determine the corneal thickness and other clinical details so that it can be judged whether you are a suitable candidate for laser vision correction or not. Only after the detailed examination of your eyes, can any procedure be suggested to you.
